Aivados Beach

Aivados Beach is a secluded beach strip located in Portugal, well-known to surfers and nature lovers seeking tranquility. It is situated within a Natural Park, contributing to its serene atmosphere and natural beauty. The beach is characterized by sandy cliffs, which serve as nesting grounds for swallow birds. To the left of the beach, the terrain is completely rocky, while to the right, a clear sandy beach reveals itself. The beach is a popular destination for hikers all year round as it is located on the path of the Costa Vicentina hike. Despite its popularity, it is not typically crowded, especially during the summer, making it an ideal location for those seeking a more peaceful beach experience. Visitors are reminded to respect the natural environment by not leaving any trash behind, as there are no trash bins in the area. Parking is available at Aivados Beach, however, since July 2020, signs have been put up prohibiting campers from staying or sleeping in the parking lots. The area is regularly patrolled by local law enforcement. The beach is accessible by car, with many visitors driving to the location. The natural characteristics of the beach change with the tides. At high tide, the beach is dominated by large rocks, leaving little to no sandy area. However, at low tide, the sandy beach becomes more prominent, offering a beautiful and clear stretch of sand.
