Alagadi Turtle Beach

Alagadi Turtle Beach is a wild beach located in North Cyprus. It is known for its large sandy bay and clear water. The beach is particularly notable for being a turtle nesting site. Visitors are urged to respect the turtle nesting spaces, which are scattered across the beach. The beach is also suitable for snorkeling due to its clear waters. The beach is divided into two sections, with the right section (when facing the water from the parking lot) being recommended for its cleanliness, beautiful sandy section with no rocks, and lack of smokestack views. The left section of the beach is less recommended due to the presence of a diesel-generated power station approximately a mile down the coast. The beach is not typically crowded, especially outside of peak seasons. It is accessible via a parking lot, from which visitors can choose to go to either the right or left section of the beach. Despite its natural beauty, some visitors feel that the beach could benefit from more attention and care. While the beach is generally safe for sea fun, especially for families with children, visitors are reminded to be careful about the turtles and respect the environment. Some visitors have had the unique experience of witnessing the opening of a turtle nest and the release of the hatchlings, a testament to the beach's rich marine life.
