Anakena

Anakena beach, being situated on Easter Island, offers breathtaking views of the famous moai statues. The ancient, handmade statutes vary in heights, ranging anywhere from 1.2 meters to an astounding 10 meters. You don’t even have to walk far to see them, as there are moai statues right on the beach. The shores of Anakena beach also hold a valuable spot in the history of Rapa Nui culture. According to the legend of “Hotu Matu’a and the seven explorers” this was the exact spot where the first king of the island disembarked from his ship and established the first settlements on the island.
