Anit Beach

Anit Beach, also known as Plaji anit, is a quiet and serene coastal location in Burhaniye, Turkey. This beach is particularly popular among locals, especially those owning summer houses in the nearby areas. It is also easily accessible, which makes transportation to the beach convenient for visitors.

Known for its fine sandy terrain and calm sea, Anit Beach provides ideal conditions for non-swimmers. However, the sea water can be cold throughout the day, and it occasionally becomes grassy, which might affect swimming conditions if it's not wavy. On the other hand, the water visibility can get a bit cloudy in the afternoon.

One of the most unique features of Anit Beach is its picturesque sunsets that add a charming touch to the overall experience. The beach is also recognized for its commitment to preserving its natural environment. Notably, the beach is a part of a Natural and Historical Site, and the surrounding vegetation, including the ancient horse chestnut trees, is protected by the Cultural and Natural Heritage Conservation Board.

Anit Beach stretches for 1.5 km and boasts a unique curved shape and golden sand, making it one of Turkey's most remarkable beaches. It has been untouched by modern coastal development, focusing more on the natural elements of sea, sand, and sun. This area is also known for having one of the highest oxygen levels in the world after the Alps, contributing to its nickname as the "oxygen tent."

In terms of amenities, Anit Beach provides water supply facilities, which makes it possible for visitors to spend the night in their motorhomes. However, it's essential for visitors to note that there are no disposal facilities available at the beach. Despite the quiet nature of the beach, it has also been an ideal location for national and international beach volleyball tournaments.
