Armyropigado Beach, also known as Paralía Proskópon or Scouts Club Beach, is a small, secluded beach located in the Kapari area, approximately 8 km from Protaras, in the Famagusta district of Paralímni, Cyprus. The beach is hidden from view by reeds, and is situated in a beautiful cove, surrounded by rocks on both sides, enhancing its natural beauty and appeal. It is known for its clean surroundings and well-maintained condition, providing a sense of intimacy and tranquility for its visitors.
The beach spans a length of 100 meters and a width of 30 meters, with a stony seabed that can be felt when wading out to swim. Despite this, the beach is comfortable for swimming, with a seabed that is neither too shallow nor too steep, and is home to small fish that may peck at the feet of swimmers. The beach is also known as a sun trap, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing.
Armyropigado Beach is equipped with several amenities for the convenience of its visitors. These include sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets, an outdoor shower, and two snack pavilions. Visitors also have the option to spread their own blanket if they prefer. The beach is not typically crowded, making it a suitable location for those seeking a more tranquil beach experience.
The name "Armyropigado" is derived from a well with salty water nearby, as "armyro pigadi" translates to this in Greek. The beach is also referred to as the beach of the scouts due to the proximity of a scout camping area.
Despite being fairly isolated, visitors can find additional amenities at the nearby MMAD beach, which is about 400 meters away. The beach is known for its golden sand, incredible water, and shallow waters, adding to its allure.
