Playa de Baltar is a tranquil beach situated in the town of Portonovo, a well-known tourist destination within the Rías Baixas region of Galicia. There are eight access points along the length of the beach, and a wooden boardwalk that runs parallel to the beach, spanning its entire length. This boardwalk is situated in the wide dune area that separates the beach from the C-550 road, and another walkway runs parallel to the road, connecting the two towns.
Playa de Baltar is well-equipped with a variety of amenities for beachgoers. Along the wooden boardwalk, visitors can find showers, water fountains, trash bins, and public toilets. Moreover, there are two beach bars and a scooter rental service for added convenience.
Adjacent to the beach, just 100 meters away, is a 1st category camping site. The site offers various facilities including camping areas, bungalows, swimming pools with slides, recreational areas for children, a supermarket, a cafeteria, a restaurant, barbecues, and free Wi-Fi. The camping site also has a mini-club, a sports court, and a football field, providing an enjoyable vacation experience near the sea.
Parking is conveniently located near the road and the Baltar football field, providing ample space for visitors. Despite its relatively small size, Playa de Baltar is known for its friendly and familiar atmosphere. It is well-maintained and clean, further adding to its appeal for visitors.
