Bayramoğlu Ada Plaj ve Dinlenme Tesisi is a beach located on the Bayramoğlu peninsula, a small landmass extending into the Sea of Marmara. The peninsula, which was historically known as Üç Burunlar Yarımadası, is situated at the end of Istanbul's city border in the direction of Darıca, on the D-100 highway. Administratively, it falls under the jurisdiction of Bayramoğlu Mahallesi in the Darıca district of Kocaeli province and is managed by Darıca Municipality.
The peninsula is characterized by a unique climate and natural structure that prevents traffic congestion. It is known for its tree-lined streets that transform into tree tunnels during the hot summer months, providing shade for pedestrians. The names of the streets and avenues on the peninsula are mostly derived from nature, such as birds, flowers, and fruits, adding to its scenic beauty. The peninsula does not allow high-rise buildings, preserving its natural and peaceful living environment.
Bayramoğlu Ada Plaj ve Dinlenme Tesisi is primarily reserved for local residents. The beach is characterized by its muddy and dusty water, with occasional sightings of jellyfish. Despite these natural characteristics, the beach is often frequented by visitors due to the friendly and welcoming local community.
The beach facilities are considered average, with some reports of seaweed and garbage in the water. The beach is surrounded by summer houses and roads adorned with lush greenery, making it a popular hangout spot for groups. The beach area on the peninsula is privately owned, and the residents of the peninsula have the right to use it. They can access the beach by obtaining an entrance card and paying an annual fee. The card allows property owners and their immediate family members to enter the beach.
The peninsula is easily accessible to Istanbul through the Marmara Ray project, with new stations at Fatih and Osman Gazi. The M4 Kadıköy-Tavşan tepe Metro line will be connected to the Tuzla Marmara Ray station, and the M4 Kaynarca Metro station will be connected to Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Pendik Marmara Ray station.
