Blackpool Sands beach is located 3 km west of Dartmouth in South Devon. The beach provides amenities such as toilets, showers, disabled facilities, parking, and a lifeguard service during the season. The beach is privately managed and has one food outlet. Blackpool Sands beach holds the Blue Flag status and is a frequent recipient of the award. The official swimming season in the UK starts on May 5 and ends on September 30. Travelers are advised to visit British beaches in late June when the air temperature warms up to +25°C. However, the water temperature in the Kingdom's water area is typically cold for swimming, around +17°C, and at best, it is not higher than +22°C in the warmest places of the Gulf Stream flowing. Furthermore, the beach has a steep shelf into the sea and powerful waves, which may not be suitable for young children.
