Bodhi Beach

Bodhi Beach is a picturesque location situated a short 20-minute boat ride from Cam Ranh port. The beach is known for its fine white sand and calm, clear waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming. The underwater visibility is excellent, allowing visitors to observe the vibrant coral reefs and aquatic life just a few feet below the surface. The beach is named 'Bodhi' by the locals, who believe that practicing Zen in this serene environment could lead one to reach Nirvana, similar to Buddha under the Bodhi tree. The beach is also home to several floating raft restaurants that serve guests. Visitors are allowed to swim in the vicinity of these rafts, which are anchored in waters ranging from 12 to 20 meters deep. However, the seabed is subject to change due to an underground stream and the water surface can vary from calm to wavy depending on the wind and underwater currents. The sand on the seabed is gently swept away by the underground water, creating a mist-like effect that can make it difficult to spot dropped items. While the beach is known for its unique starfish, it is important to note that there are no corals in this area. Visitors are advised to exercise caution while swimming due to the depth of the water and the potential for strong currents.
