Boranup Beach is a pristine beach located in the south west forest. It is accessible via the Cape to Cape trail, which descends from Boranup down to the beach. The beach is characterized by its long stretches of wide beach and soft sand. However, the surface is extensively cut up from wheel tracks in many locations due to the use of 4WDs.
The beach is a bit of a drive in, but it is well worth the journey. The track to get to the beach is called 'boranup beach access', which is off the main road. The track was fixed in March 2023 and is not rutted. It starts with rocks and limestone and then becomes a flat track.
Unfortunately, camping is not allowed on this beautiful beach and rangers issue fines for camping and no campfires are allowed. Despite this, it is a great fishing spot. The beach is closely monitored and maintained, which contributes to its pristine condition.
Visitors are advised to let down their tyres to 16-20 at the beach access. Once on the beach, the sand is fairly hard with some soft spots. A 4WD is necessary to reach the beach. The beach is nestled away deep in the forest and stretches for miles, with picture perfect aqua blue water.
