Plage du Bosquet is a picturesque beach located in the charming town of Portiragnes, in the Hérault department of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, France. Nestled to the west of the resort, it can be found at the termination of the Boulevard du Front de Mer, adjacent to the Bois du Bosquet. The beach extends approximately 3 kilometers with fine, light beige sand underfoot, making it an ideal spot for a variety of activities such as volleyball, table tennis, and soccer. Transportation to the beach is accessible both on foot and by car. Pedestrians can use the paths from the city center, while drivers can use the Chemin de la Rivierette and Avenue du Bosquet. Upon arrival, visitors will find a parking lot situated at the entrance of the woods, approximately 150 meters from the beach. However, during peak season, the parking lot can fill up quickly.
In the surrounding woods, visitors can find picnic areas and playgrounds for children. Recently, the area has undergone significant enhancements as part of the "Le Bosquet" requalification project. This initiative aims to protect and enhance the natural spaces in the area. As part of the project, new tree areas have been created with a variety of tree species, picnic tables and benches have been renovated, and barbecues have been removed to prevent the risk of fire.
Finally, for those seeking refreshments, the beach features a beach bar offering a variety of food options. Despite its popularity, Plage du Bosquet is well-known for its cleanliness and spaciousness, making it an ideal location for both group gatherings and solitary relaxation.
