Beach Burriana is situated in the southern region of Spain on the Costa del Sol and is Nerja's largest beach. It is a favored spot among tourists due to its sandy shore and diverse selection of restaurants and bars. The beach is suitable for families with young children and has a well-established infrastructure. The beach season lasts from May to October and boasts comfortable temperatures. The top-notch infrastructure includes contemporary showers, changing rooms, toilets, sports grounds, and water activities. The surrounding area has various hotels, apartments, and restaurants. Notable nearby attractions include a unique mountain village, ancient caves with drawings, and an old city. Beach Burriana had previously been awarded the prestigious 'Blue Flag' and 'Q for Quality' flag. However, since 2014, none of Nerja's beaches have qualified for the 'Blue Flag' due to the absence of a water treatment facility.
