Çağıllı Plajı

Çağıllı Plajı is a secluded beach located along the Lycian Way, near the Andriake antique city. The beach is known for its clean and tranquil environment, making it a rewarding destination for walkers of the Lycian Way.

The beach's natural characteristics include a shore that is overgrown with silt due to a river that joins the sea. This results in a unique underwater environment where diving with a mask may result in a blurry and cold experience due to the diffusion of salt and still water. Despite this, the beach is home to a significant population of sea turtles, offering visitors a chance to swim alongside these creatures.

Reaching Çağıllı Plajı is not an easy task. The recommended route is to park at the nearby Cayagsi beach, next to a camping area called Andriake. From there, visitors can walk to the end of the beach until they reach a river. A kayak can be used to navigate the river, which also provides an opportunity to spot more sea turtles. Upon reaching the river, a trail begins which leads to Çağıllı Plajı. The trail is relatively easy to navigate and takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete. The view from the trail is noted for its beauty.

Despite its remote location and challenging access, Çağıllı Plajı is not typically crowded, allowing visitors to enjoy the beach in solitude.
