Plage de Canella

Plage de Canella is a picturesque beach nestled in the town of Sari-Solenzara on the island of Corsica. It is recognized for its long, golden stretch of fine sand that spans about 400 meters, making it the only beach in Solenzara known for this feature. The beach is set within a protected cove, providing a serene environment filled with clear, turquoise waters and surrounded by lush vegetation. The beach's natural attributes make it an appealing destination for beachgoers. Its clear waters offer excellent visibility, making it a popular spot for swimming and snorkeling. The sandy shoreline is easy to navigate, and the vibrant underwater world near the rocks attracts snorkelers. Nonetheless, visitors should note that dogs are not permitted on the beach. Plage de Canella is accessible to everyone. It features two private beach areas, each equipped with a restaurant and beach chair rentals. There is also a small campground on-site. Despite these facilities, the beach does not offer public toilets or other amenities. The public area of the beach is spacious, but it may become crowded during peak season. To get to Plage de Canella, you will need to drive north past Favone beach for approximately 3.5 kilometers. However, parking can be challenging due to limited space. A small car park is situated near the beach, but it fills up quickly. Visitors are advised to arrive early to secure parking. Please note that parking along the road is prohibited and may result in a fine.
