Praia do Castelo

Located approximately 5 kilometers west of the city of Albufeira in Portugal, Praia do Castelo beach is a picturesque sand beach enveloped by towering cliffs, typical of most of the country's shorelines. The beach is guarded by a professional lifeguard during the swimming season for the safety of visitors. Offering seclusion for nudists, Praia do Castelo beach boasts numerous areas dedicated for their enjoyment. The beach's name, meaning "castle beach", carries significant historical value. Despite the absence of a castle today, remnants of a 16th-century watchtower that once watched over the coastline can still be found. The beach now offers a range of newly built conveniences such as car parking, restrooms, loungers, bars, and restaurants. Though monuments on the beach are few, the amenities provided are state-of-the-art for visitors' relaxation and convenience.
