Çayağzı Plajı

Çayağzı Plajı is a serene beach located along the southern part of the Lycian Way. The beach is particularly known for its unique natural characteristics, including the presence of a nearby river and a variety of wildlife. One of the most notable features of this beach is the abundance of turtles, specifically the Caretta caretta species, that can be observed in the area. These turtles are often found near the reeds on the side of the river and under the tiny bridge near the west part of the beach.

The beach offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation, especially during sunrise and sunset times. Visitors can also engage in activities such as kayaking down the river, which provides an opportunity to get closer to the local wildlife. However, it's important to note that the water isn't always clear, requiring a quiet approach to spot the turtles.

In addition to its natural beauty, Çayağzı Plajı is also a popular spot for camping, particularly near the west part of the beach next to the stream river. Despite its tranquility, visitors are advised not to throw bread overboard from chartered boats, as it often ends up on the beach.
