The name of Cayo de Agua beach directly translated from Spanish means “Water Cay”. This name refers to the many freshwater wells strewn across the cay. Due to these wells and the coral reefs near the shores of Cayo de Agua beach, the waters here are ideal for snorkeling. This is especially the case for beginner divers, as the waters are mostly calm and usually very warm, with its temperatures ranging from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius all year round.
