Praia de Cesantes

Praia de Cesantes is a serene beach located in the Vigo estuary, known for its spectacular views over the bay of S. Simón with the Rande Bridge in the background, and the Ciés Islands. The areas where dogs are allowed are well marked, ensuring a peaceful coexistence for all beachgoers. It is highly recommended for visitors to wear sandals that fit the foot due to the barriers of algae and sand with stones both at the entrance of the water and inside it. Praia de Cesantes is also a popular spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing, attracting enthusiasts from all over. Despite this, the beach maintains a tranquil atmosphere, rarely becoming crowded. The beach offers limited amenities. There are beach bars and restaurants in the area, but they are located at one end of the beach, so visitors are advised to bring their own water. The beach also lacks shaded areas, so bringing an umbrella or parasol is recommended for those planning to spend a day under the sun. In addition to its natural beauty and recreational activities, the beach offers good views of San Simon Island, adding a historical touch to the visit as the island has a rich history worth exploring.
