Chalikia Beach, also known as Votsala Beach, is located in the town of Paleoxora. The beach is known for its calm and clean waters, making it an ideal spot for families and those seeking tranquility. The water is often clear, although some visitors have noted that it can be less so at times.
The beach's natural characteristics include a mix of sand and pebbles. The first few meters of the beach are rocky, but it transitions into sandy terrain further in. The size of the pebbles can be large, both on the beach and in the water. Despite this, the beach is not particularly suitable for snorkeling due to its lack of diverse marine life.
Parking is conveniently available by the shore, allowing easy access to the beach. The beach is also a good alternative when the weather is windy at the Ammos beach on the western side of town, as the sea at Chalikia Beach tends to be much calmer. The beach offers a scenic view of mountains in the distance, adding to its overall appeal.
