Challengers Beach

Challengers Beach is a quiet, often deserted beach located in an industrial area. Despite its location, it offers clear water and a nice view, especially during sunset. The beach is particularly popular among fishing enthusiasts, as the fish are known to bite here. It also features a boat ramp for easy water access, making it a great spot for diving and snorkeling. The beach is divided into two sections, one of which is a dog-friendly area located on the refinery side. This part of the beach is clean and easy to access, with a shoreline that is great for both kids and pets. It also has a toilet block and wash down area. However, parking can sometimes be an issue. The other section of the beach is narrower, with rocks and bush at the back. It is not particularly suited for families or children due to its rocky nature and the presence of questionable characters. Despite these challenges, it still offers a ramp to the water and is a popular spot for fishing. It's worth noting that the beach can be very choppy with wind or swell, but on calm days, it is flat like glass, with no seaweed and hardly any rocks. However, there are occasional reports of air pollution affecting the smell of the area.
