CTO Beach is a beautiful beach located approximately 35-40 minutes from Nicosia. The beach is known for its calm waters and beautiful sunrises, especially at 6am in November. The beach is sandy, but it does not have the golden colour Cyprus is usually known for, instead, the sand is gray. The water is warm and shallow for a long distance, making it perfect for small children. The beach also has a variety of amenities including paid sunbeds and volleyball courts. However, it's important to note that the beach is not looked after well enough for the price and you can only pay for sunbeds in cash. Despite this, the beach is not as crowded as other beaches in the area, making it a great option for a family day, even in winter. There is also plenty of free parking available near the beach.
