Davenport Cove & Shark Fin Beach

Davenport Cove, also referred to as Shark Fin Cove or Shark Tooth Beach, is a visually appealing beach situated in a small, deep cove south of Davenport, USA. The beach is composed of coarse sand and pebbles and is bordered by towering cliffs that provide an impressive backdrop to the crashing waves. During low tide, a large rock arch tunnel can be traversed by visitors, which contributes to the beach's attractiveness. Parking is available at a pull-out area along Highway 1, but caution should be exercised as the trail at the back of the cove may have challenging footing and be hazardous. For those who prefer a less demanding experience, the bluff-top farm road located north of the cove presents one of the finest views of the shark fin for photography and makes for an enjoyable hiking loop. Walking the south bluff is also an excellent viewpoint to appreciate the beauty of this distinct beach.
