Playa del Cañadillo

Playa del Cañadillo is a large, tranquil beach located between the towns of Barbate and Zahara. The beach is known for its crystal clear water and somewhat thick sand. Despite its size, it is not usually crowded, providing ample space for visitors. The beach is also pet-friendly, making it an ideal location for dog owners. The beach is accessible via a walk from the beach of Zahara de los Atunes. It features some small stone areas, but these are specific and do not hinder the overall experience. One of the highlights of the beach is the beautiful sunsets that can be viewed from there. The beach is equipped with litter bins and wooden walkways that lead from the road to the beach. However, visitors are encouraged to use the bins more effectively to maintain the cleanliness of the beach. Parking is available in an open space near the beach and is free of charge. However, visitors are advised to be cautious as the parking area can flood a little when the tide rises. Despite its many amenities, Playa del Cañadillo does not have a lifeguard on duty. Additionally, the beach has an entrance that is suitable for people with disabilities, ensuring it is accessible to all. From the beach, visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the nearby town and, on a clear day, even see as far as Tangier.
