Plage des Dunes is a scenic and tranquil beach located in Penvénan, Côtes-d'Armor, Bretagne, France, specifically in the area of Port Blanc. It is situated at the border of Trévou-Tréguignec and is linked to the Royau beach. One of the beach's main natural characteristics is its preserved environment, which includes small dunes. Depending on the tide, the beach's landscape varies between narrow pebble areas during high tide and larger sandy areas during low tide. The beach also features several small islands that can be accessed at low tide, including the recognizable Brug Island. The beach is known for its cleanliness and the magnificent view it offers, making it a favorite among visitors. Despite being popular, it manages to maintain its tranquility, even during the tourist season. Swimming is possible at both high and low tide, and the beach is monitored by lifeguards during July and August. In terms of amenities, Plage des Dunes provides various services. Although not permanent, on certain days, a snack food stand and a paddle board hire shop can be found at the beach car park. The beach is also conveniently located near a campsite, making it a family-friendly destination. To reach Plage des Dunes from Trévou-Tréguignec, visitors must take the D38 road towards Port-Blanc and then turn left onto Rue des Dunes. A parking area is available at the end of this street. Despite the availability of parking, the beach is not constantly supervised, so visitors are advised to take necessary precautions.
