Strand Drei

Strand Drei is a picturesque beach located in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on the Holnis Peninsula. The beach provides stunning views of Denmark and is in proximity to the village of Glücksburg and the town of Flensburg. The beach is known for its spaciousness and is characterized by its shallow waters, making it a safe environment for children and an ideal spot for stand-up paddleboarding. The beach is approximately 2 kilometers long and 20 meters wide, providing ample space for various beach activities. The swimming area is conveniently located 20 meters from the shore. The water entry is pleasant, enhancing the swimming experience for visitors. Despite its size, the beach is known for its relatively low crowd levels, providing a tranquil atmosphere for visitors. Strand Drei offers a variety of amenities for the convenience of its visitors. These include a playground for children, a beach volleyball court, and canoe rentals. In addition to these, there is a beach bistro that serves a range of food and beverages. For added convenience, there is also a beach shower available. Parking is available in close proximity to the beach, with the parking area being only a 200-meter walk away. The beach is accessible by all types of vehicles, including motorhomes. There is, however, a beach tax of 2.6€ that visitors are required to pay to access the beach. The beach is easily accessible through traffic-calmed connections, making it easy for visitors to reach. For dog owners, there are designated dog beaches. However, these areas are not as well-maintained as the main beach and beach chairs are not available in these sections. Despite this, there is a smaller dog beach that has been described as more appealing.
