Playa el Bosque

Playa el Bosque is a scenic beach located in two places: Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, where it is associated with the nearby Hotel Bosque del Mar, and in the forest community of Centla.

However, there are facilities such as wooden tables and benches available, which are covered with guano for protection. These facilities are well-maintained by a site guard, ensuring a clean and safe environment for visitors.

Access to the beach is straightforward, and parking facilities are available. However, the community is dealing with the effects of climate change and marine erosion, serving as a stark reminder of environmental issues.

Despite these challenges, Playa el Bosque remains a sanctuary for those wishing to enjoy the gentle waves of the Usumacinta River as it flows into the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is also safeguarded by berries, enhancing the safety of those who visit.
