El Portitxol

The beach is easily accessible through a pedestrian path from the Paseo de las Dunas, which stretches from l'Escala to the neighboring medieval village of Sant Martí d'Empúries. This path allows visitors to enjoy a scenic walk along the coast to the beach. Despite its accessibility and amenities, El Portitxol is not usually crowded, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Overlooking the Gulf of Roses, it offers a splendid viewpoint and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in l'Escala.
