Fig Tree beach is just east of the Cyprus city of Ayia Napa. The accessible, sandy shores of Fig Tree beach are kept safe by lifeguards. Fig Tree beach is also among favorite beaches for children. The name of the beach comes from an old fig tree. The tree is said to date as far back as the 17th century. The beach is well-loved by all its visitors, and even made its way into a Peter Frampton song called “Fig Tree Bay”. Aside from the astonishing trees, on Fig Tree beach you can find all the basic amenities. Stretched along the coast you can find loungers, restaurants, bars, showers, toilets and parking.
