Gokarna beach is located in the city of the same name in Karnataka, India. The beach is a part of a Gokarna town which is known as one of the seven Hindu pilgrimage centres where people offer worship and prayers to god Shiva. Gokarna beach consists of several smaller beaches but the main beach area is mainly used by pilgrims as well as surfers. Other beaches are popular among tourists who enjoy a calm and relaxed holiday on the sandy shore with coconut and palm trees.
