Grande Plage, Fos-sur-Mer is a popular leisure destination located in the city center of Fos-sur-Mer, France. It has been labeled 'Tourisme & Handicap', a designation which signifies that it is equipped to accommodate people with disabilities. This includes accessible parking and pathways, as well as amenities like accessible toilets. In addition, there is a lifeguard station and two specialized sports educators available to provide assistance. Visitors to Grande Plage can engage in a variety of recreational activities, including kayaking and boating, owing to the beach's unique characteristic of maintaining a depth of 1 meter even 50 meters from the shore. Grande Plage is equipped with ample free parking in the surrounding area. It is easily reachable by taking the RN568 exit for Fos Ville and then following the signs for Les Plages and the port. While the beach is popular and can get crowded, it is recommended to visit after 6pm when the crowd is less. Although there are no changing facilities on the beach, there are restaurants and a refreshment stand nearby for the convenience of visitors.
