Plage Grève Rose, situated in Trégastel, Côtes-d'Armor, Bretagne, is a unique beach known for its calm atmosphere and unusual scenery. As an extension of Grève Blanche beach, it features a well-developed dune area, a rarity in the region. The distinctive pink sandy beach contrasts beautifully with its neighboring Grève Blanche and offers a panoramic view of Ile Tanguy and the bay of Kerlavoz.
The beach is further characterized by red granite rocks that provide a captivating landscape to explore. However, visitors are advised to exercise caution when navigating these rocks. The presence of algae on the shore and in the sea, as well as sharp rocks and other marine life, adds to its natural charm. Despite these features, the beach remains relatively uncrowded, offering a peaceful experience for visitors.
Plage Grève Rose is popular among families and sports enthusiasts alike. The beach is not supervised, so swimming is at one's risk. The clean, shallow water is ideal for swimming, but the distance from the sitting area to the water can be quite far when the tide is low. This necessitates one person to stay back and watch over belongings while others enjoy a swim. The beach is also a preferred spot for kite-surfing, except during swimming periods, and is ideal for surfing and using water boards and paddles.
On its right side, the beach features a sailing center, a few meters away from the beach. Other amenities include a seawater pool, a marine aquarium, and hiking trails in the nearby Trégastel, a popular seaside resort in the Côte de Granit Rose.
For the comfort of all visitors, dogs are not permitted on the beach from June 1st to September 30th. However, they are allowed from October 1st to May 31st, provided they are kept on a leash.
To reach Plage Grève Rose, visitors can take Avenue de la Grève Blanche or Rue des 3 Grèves. Parking facilities are also available in the vicinity. The beach is bordered by several houses, adding to the picturesque setting.
