Guayabitos Beach

Guayabitos Beach, located in the beautiful region of Rincón de Guayabitos in Nayarit, Mexico, is a hidden treasure known for its enchanting natural features and wide array of amenities. The beach is situated within the breathtaking Jaltemba Bay and extends for approximately two kilometers in length and 30 meters in width. Its calm waves make it an ideal spot for water activities such as swimming and diving, with the underwater environment offering a spectacular display of colorful fish and coral formations.

Visitors to Guayabitos Beach can enjoy a variety of activities such as fishing, with the opportunity to catch species like bonito, sailfish, dorado, and marlin. The beach also offers a cultural experience, with local cuisine that has been recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

The beach is well-equipped with amenities, including comfortable bungalow-style accommodations, and offers seafood at reasonable prices. Despite its many attractions, the beach can sometimes become crowded, particularly with vendors. However, there are less crowded areas available, especially during low tide.

To get to Guayabitos Beach, visitors can take the Tepic-Puerto Vallarta highway, which is about an hour's drive from Puerto Vallarta Airport in Jalisco. Alternatively, boat trips are available that offer tours of multiple beaches in the area.

Despite its popularity, there is a need to regulate the number of tours and visitors to maintain the beach's natural beauty and prevent overcrowding. The surrounding town of Guayabitos and the beach itself could also benefit from additional cleaning to further enhance its appeal. Nonetheless, Guayabitos Beach remains a beautiful, unspoiled natural beach that offers a unique experience for its visitors.
