Gwithian beach, located in Cornwall, UK, is a sandy beach with miles of golden sand and rock pools, including the popular "Sheep Dips" surf spot. Compared to neighboring Godrevy, Gwithian is slightly more sheltered, making it a great spot for surfing with a well-staffed lifeguard service. The beach is also popular with windsurfers and kite-surfers due to its exposed aspect and cross-shore winds. At low tide, Gwithian is a long, exposed sandy beach that joins up with Hayle Towans and Godrevy. However, rip currents can pose a serious danger. Visitors can make use of the car park and cafes above the beach, which offer free parking.
