Haludovo Beach, Mjesni odbor Malinska - Bogovići, is a serene and spacious beach located in the municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica, within the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County of Croatia. This beach is distinguished by its crystal clear waters and diverse landscape, which offers both sandy areas, ideal for children, and concrete parts. It is also characterized by various secluded spots nestled between the rocks, providing a more private experience for beach-goers.
Surrounded by natural trees, Haludovo Beach offers ample shade, making it a perfect spot for picnics or relaxation. For the younger visitors, a large sandbox is available for play. However, swimming shoes are advised due to the presence of sea urchins near the rocks. Notably, the beach does not have shower facilities, and dogs are not allowed in the water.
Parking facilities are available for visitors at a certain cost. Even during the peak season, Haludovo Beach maintains a relatively tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet retreat. The local government department of Malinska-Dubašnica is actively involved in the spatial planning and development of the area, ensuring that the beach and its surroundings continue to cater to the needs of visitors while preserving its natural beauty.
The beach is situated near the historical Monastery of St. Mary Magdalene in Porat, a site of cultural significance that has existed for over 500 years. The monastery, initially a small chapel, was built around 1480 and is known for its late Gothic style architecture and a polyptych by Venetian painters Girolamo and Francesco da Santacroce. Today, the monastery's cellar serves as a museum, featuring exhibits related to the religious, cultural, and economic influence of the monks and the RC Third Order in Dubašnica. The monastery's atrium and the Church of St. Mary Magdalene also serve as venues for various cultural events, including concerts of classical and traditional music.
