Harbour Cove

Harbour Cove is a picturesque beach located near Padstow. Known for its flat terrain that extends all the way to the sea, it is a popular destination for families, friends, and dog owners, as it is an off-lead beach. The beach is also appreciated for its natural beauty and unspoiled coastline, offering visitors a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Access to the beach is via a field gate, leading to a rutted track that takes visitors to a grassed area car park. During peak season, this car park is usually managed and requires an entrance fee. From the bottom of the car park, a footpath leads to the beach. This footpath comprises a steep, shale-covered track for about 400 yards, winding through some trees for around 5 minutes before reaching the beach. However, the path is quite demanding and may not be suitable for the elderly or vulnerable due to its narrow and uneven nature. Despite its popularity, Harbour Cove is never too crowded, offering plenty of sand dunes and small coves for visitors to enjoy the scenery. When the tide goes out, it recedes significantly, altering the landscape of the beach. However, visitors should note that there are no facilities or vendors at the beach. The nearest amenities are at a farmhouse located on the top road where the turn-off for the beach is.
