One of the beach's distinguishing features is a power plant located nearby. While some visitors feel that it disrupts the view, others barely notice its presence. Despite its proximity, there have been no reported issues regarding pollution. On the side closer to the power plant, there is a lot of concrete farther into the water. The beach also boasts a cool river delta where the water mixes up even behind the Aptera hotel. At this point, the beach becomes more sandy.
Helleniperamata is well-equipped with amenities for visitors. Sunbeds are readily available and free of charge. There are also plenty of beach umbrellas and sun chairs for visitors to relax on. The beach is interspersed with hotel segments and municipal public segments, ensuring that there are always free showers nearby. In addition to the natural beauty, the beach is a popular spot for water sports, with surfing being a common sight.
The beach is easily accessible and offers a variety of services, including hotels and cafes. During the summer, tables, chairs, and shade are provided for visitors' comfort. However, visitors should be aware that there can be currents in the sea and exercise caution while swimming.
