Hidayet Koyu Plajı is a popular beach located on the Çukurbağ Peninsula in Kaş, Turkey, approximately 2.5 kilometers from the city center. Named after Hidayet Abi, a former resident of the area, this beach is known for its clear turquoise waters, pebbly shoreline, and surrounding rocky cliffs. It provides a tranquil setting, ideal for swimming and snorkeling, with its sea often compared to an aquarium due to its diverse underwater world teeming with colorful fish and sea creatures.
In the past, Hidayet Koyu Plajı was an untouched beach, however, its profile changed after the opening of a beach hotel in 2015. This led to the addition of wooden platforms equipped with sun loungers on the rocky areas of the beach, enhancing the comfort of visitors. Despite these additions, the beach has maintained its natural charm and beauty.
The beach is easily accessible either by foot or by public transportation. A shared taxi service, known as dolmuş, departs every 20 minutes from the city center, reaching the beach in about 15 minutes. For those with private vehicles, both paid and free parking options are available, although arriving early is recommended due to high demand in the afternoons.
Hidayet Koyu Plajı is known for its good infrastructure, featuring comfortable sunbeds, cabins, and showers for the convenience of its visitors. A beach club offering a variety of food and drink options adds to the relaxed ambiance of the beach. Despite its popularity, the beach maintains a family-friendly atmosphere, with a safe, shallow, and rocky shore suitable for kids. Visitors have the option to utilize the beach's facilities for a fee or enjoy the beach free of charge.
Although Hidayet Koyu Plajı can get crowded in the afternoons, the beach remains an appealing spot for visitors, especially in the early morning hours when the water is calm and serene.
