Access to this sandy shoreline is restricted, as it can only be reached by a narrow mountain path or by boat. Traditionally, the beach was named after a former resident shepherd, João de Arens. Considering its secluded location and difficult accessibility, there are limited amenities, however, a parking area is available for visitors who prefer to drive.
