Kape Beach

Kape Beach is a picturesque beach located near Athens, in the region of Attica. It is particularly known for its clear water and beautiful turquoise color. The beach is characterized by its smooth rocks and small stones, with no sand present. The seabed is interesting for snorkeling, and visitors can easily swim to other small beaches or little caves nearby. The beach is not very crowded, providing a serene environment for visitors. However, it can get quite busy during the weekends. There are no facilities such as bars, showers, or sunbeds available on the beach. Despite this, a vendor is known to walk around selling cold water and beers. Parking at Kape Beach is easy, although visitors might need to walk a few hundred meters from the parking area to the beach. The beach is accessible via a small flight of stairs, which some visitors might find a bit long. The beach is about an hour away from downtown Athens and is very close to the Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion. Despite the somewhat long trip from Athens city center, visitors often find the journey worth it for the unique experience that Kape Beach offers.
