Plage de Kerminihy

Plage de Kerminihy, located in the town of Erdeven, Brittany, is a well-known naturist destination. Situated 15 km southwest of Lorient and near the mouth of the Ria d'Etel, this beach has been a haven for naturists since 1975. It is one of the largest naturist beaches in the region, stretching for approximately 2 km from the mouth of the Etel river to the Roche Sèche area. The beach is characterized by its fine sand and scenic dunes, offering a pleasant environment for its visitors.

Despite its size, Plage de Kerminihy is moderately frequented, ensuring a tranquil atmosphere. The beach is divided into naturist and "textile" areas, allowing for coexistence between naturists and non-naturists. Clear panels provide information about these sections, ensuring the privacy of all beach-goers.

The northern part of the beach, near the mouth of the Etel river, is not suitable for swimming due to strong currents. It is recommended to swim in the central and southern areas, which are safer, though unsupervised.

Access to Plage de Kerminihy is straightforward. From the center of Erdeven, visitors can take Stade street and then Kerminihy road. At the roundabout, they should take Groix street to reach the seaside and the beach parking.

Parking is available near the beach, though it can be limited during the peak season, resulting in cars being parked along the road. Despite this, the beach is well-maintained and clean, offering toilet facilities for visitor convenience.

Plage de Kerminihy does not offer amenities, providing instead a more natural beach experience. The beach is known for its magnificent views, particularly of the bar of Étel when the weather permits.
