Kohilari Beach

Kohilari Beach is a beautiful and clean beach located on the island of Kos. It is known for its fascinating sunsets and crystal clear water. The beach is characterized by its wild dunes and a strong wind that relieves the heat. The water is much warmer compared to the southern shores of the island and has constant but small and gentle waves. There are some good snorkel spots on the western area of the beach.

The beach offers amenities such as sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. There is also a big kite surfing area to the east of the beach. Visitors can order food and drinks from a nearby restaurant which delivers to the beach. The beach also has showers and changing rooms for the convenience of the visitors.

Despite its natural beauty, the beach has been criticized for the amount of plastic waste left on the beach either by tourists or brought on the shore by the waves. However, the beach remains a peaceful and quiet place, especially during the month of June when it is almost empty.
