Kolitsani

Kolitsani is a picturesque beach situated on the island of Ios, Greece, specifically to the south of Chora. The beach is known for its stunning natural beauty, characterized by a beautiful cove with clear turquoise waters that exhibit shades of blue and green, and a shoreline split between sandy stretches and large pebbles. The surrounding hills contribute to a calm sea, making it an ideal spot for swimming, especially during the summer months. Despite its beauty, Kolitsani Beach remains an isolated area, lying between Chora and Mylopotas. It does not offer organized tourist facilities on the beach itself. However, there are several houses and accommodations available for rent in the vicinity, offering a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea and the islands of Sikinos and Santorini. Access to Kolitsani Beach is facilitated by a small car parking space located nearby. From this parking spot, the beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. Visitors should note that the path to the beach is not paved and can be quite rocky, thus comfortable footwear is recommended. Kolitsani Beach is recognized as a popular destination for naturists, a feature that visitors should be aware of when planning their visit. Despite this, and perhaps because of its somewhat challenging access, the beach is not typically crowded, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment for beachgoers.
