The beach is renowned for its tranquility, particularly during weekdays. It features a mix of rocky sections and sandy areas, providing a unique setting for beach-goers. A distinguishing feature of the beach is a small stream that flows nearby, adding to its natural charm. However, visitors have reported a slight odor from the stream.
Visitors to Konak Önü Plajı are treated to the rare experience of jumping from the branches of fruit trees into the sea, a testament to the area's lush vegetation. Despite its beauty, some feel that the beach could benefit from additional landscaping and cleanliness efforts to enhance its appeal.
Currently, the beach is undergoing construction aimed at enhancing its amenities. The planned social area will include dressing cabins, shower areas, and sports facilities for football, basketball, and volleyball. This development is anticipated to be completed by the next summer season.
In addition to the beach development, a historic staircase in the Konakönü area, which once provided direct beach access to residents, has been uncovered and is being restored.
