Koukounaries Beach

Koukounaries Beach is a popular destination located in Skiathos, known for its long, clean, and wide sandy beach. The beach is backed by a beautiful landscape of pine and cypress woodland, creating a picturesque setting where the trees meet the sea. The sand is soft and gently slopes into the clear sea, which is free of stones and rocks, making it ideal for swimming. Koukounaries Beach is well-served by local bus from stops 23 on the east side of the beach and 26 for the west side, making it easily accessible. It is also accessible by water taxi from Skiathos Town. Ample car parking is available near the east side of the beach. Despite its popularity, the beach is long enough to accommodate the crowds, especially during the high season. However, it's worth noting that prices here are on the higher side, so visitors might want to consider bringing their own refreshments.
