This beach is easily accessible and is just a short 5-minute drive from the city center. The natural characteristics of Plage de La Baie de Cousse include its pebbly surface and clear, transparent waters. However, it is worth noting that the water can sometimes be colder due to the presence of algae. Despite this, the beach is considered of good quality since 2021, providing a pleasant environment for beachgoers. Ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors, the beach is patrolled by certified lifeguards and first aiders from 10 am to 7 pm. The surveillance schedule varies depending on the time of year, with daily supervision from June to September and on holidays and weekends in April, May, and during school vacations. In addition, public showers are available for beachgoers to use. Pets are not allowed on the beach, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all visitors. The beach can accommodate groups of up to 80 people, making it an ideal spot for group outings. One challenge that visitors may encounter is the lack of a dedicated parking area. Therefore, it might be necessary to park further away and walk to the beach. However, the beauty and tranquility of Plage de La Baie de Cousse make it a worthwhile destination despite this minor inconvenience. Sanary-sur-Mer municipality is committed to maintaining the quality of water and sanitary conditions for beach users. This commitment is confirmed annually by an independent control agency since the first audit in July 2015.
