Playa de La Chullera

Playa de La Chullera is a picturesque beach located in Manilva. Stretching over an impressive 850 meters, the beach width varies from 5 to 20 meters. The shoreline is characterized by a combination of rocky and gravelly terrain, coupled with dark sand. The beach is divided into two distinct sections, with the eastern section being more popular due to its cleaner area and abundance of sand. In contrast, the western section, despite housing numerous bird sanctuaries and protected areas, is often littered with garbage and marked by a rocky terrain. One of the key features of Playa de La Chullera is its clear water, which allows visitors to see the rocks beneath the surface. The beach's beautifully shaped rocks and boulders further contribute to its natural charm. Despite its beauty, the beach is not typically crowded, offering a more secluded beach experience for those who prefer tranquility. In terms of amenities, Playa de La Chullera offers toilets, showers or foot washers, and trash bins for visitor convenience. In addition, there are restaurants available for dining, and visitors have the option to rent sunbeds and umbrellas. However, it is worth noting that there are no sports areas, playgrounds, or nautical clubs at this beach. Despite this, the beach does allow for activities such as scuba diving. Access to Playa de La Chullera can be challenging by foot. The beach can be reached by bus, specifically via the Estepona - La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) interurban route. Parking is available, but it is unmonitored and has less than 50 spaces, so potential visitors should be aware that parking could be an issue. The nearest hospital, the Hospital de Estepona, is located 40 kilometers away from the beach.
