La Laja

La Laja is a beach situated in the northern part of Gran Canaria, known for being a preferred destination for surfers. The beach is composed of black sand and pebbles, and the wind and waves make it a suitable spot for surfing almost every day. However, due to its proximity to the motorway, it is less popular for swimming. The beach offers a well-maintained car park, and three lifeguards are on duty during peak season. Families can take pleasure in the beach, and children can play in the natural rock pools. The promenade is accessible for wheelchairs. There are fish restaurants in the vicinity, and amenities include toilets, lifeguard services, and parking. Dogs are permitted on the beach.
