Leech Beach

Leech Beach is a blue-flag beach, known for its fine, sandy texture, ideal for castle-making. The beach features shallow waters, making it suitable for non-swimmers. However, visitors should be aware of the presence of weeds in some areas. The beach is divided into two distinct areas. On the right side, near the road, there is a free outdoor shower and a changing room. The left side is more crowded, with a nearby hotel and rocks. Unfortunately, there have been reports of litter in the bushes near the road and on the beach, which could potentially affect its blue-flag status. The beach is somewhat isolated, requiring a car for access. There is ample parking available on the road. Despite its isolation, the beach offers a beautiful view, although the waters can be a bit wavy, making it difficult to enter, especially when the water is cold. There are no public restrooms or changing rooms readily available, so visitors may need to plan accordingly. Visitors are advised to bring their own amenities such as food, shade, and chairs as there are limited facilities on the beach. There is a small coffee shop on the beach for refreshments. The beach is generally less crowded outside of the summer season, providing a peaceful and quiet environment for those who prefer less crowded places.
