Limni Beach Glyko, also known as Glyko Beach, is a double beach situated in the picturesque area of Paleokastritsa, on the island of Corfu, Greece. This pebble beach is nestled between the beaches of Ermones and Porto Timoni. It is known for its clear waters, stunning teal sea colors, and its staggered-depth seabed. The beach is divided into two by a small strip of land and is surrounded by dense vegetation, enhancing its natural beauty.
The beach has a rugged terrain, characterized by slippery rocks. Despite its rocky nature, it is home to a diverse marine life and offers spots for safe cliff jumping. The beach is also equipped with sun beds for visitors to use. However, it is not recommended to visit on windy days due to the rocky nature of the beach.
Limni Beach Glyko is a non-organized beach, meaning it does not have permanent tourist facilities such as beach bars nearby. However, during the high season, a small boat canteen is available. The beach is carefully protected to maintain its natural beauty and prevent it from becoming overly commercialized. Despite its natural beauty and amenities, Limni Beach Glyko is not typically crowded, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere. However, it can get crowded during the summer months.
Access to the beach is primarily via the sea, although adventurous visitors can also use downhill paths through nature. One such path takes you through a grove of olive trees, marked with signs on the ground and trees. This path, however, can be challenging, especially on rainy days, and appropriate footwear is recommended. Alternatively, a water taxi service is available.
Parking near the beach can be challenging, especially later in the day. Visitors are advised to park before the last hill turn on the left, as the return journey can be difficult on crowded days. From the parking area, there is a 15-minute walk down to the beach and a 20-minute walk back up.
