The beach's name originates from its historical coverage of linden trees, some of which can still be spotted today. Over time, these linden trees were replaced with a diversity of other tree species.

These formations, including the Split Rock, the Cave of the Pigeons, and the Rock of Sisyphus, add to the beach's charm and allure. While Lipite Beach does not have commercial establishments like bars, it offers a clean, peaceful environment where visitors can enjoy the soothing sound of the waves. Visitors are mindful about preserving the beach's cleanliness, with many taking responsibility for their trash and disposing of it in the bins provided at the parking lot.
Despite its seclusion, Lipite Beach is popular among nudists. However, it's important to note that there are no lifeguards on duty at Lipite Beach, and the currents can be dangerous. Therefore, visitors are advised to exercise caution while at the beach.
